Plans For NSW To Introduce Regulations for IPL and Laser

We are also pleased to report that following APAN’S comprehensive submission to the NSW Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) as part of the review of the NSW Radiation Control Act 1990.

We are informed that steps are in motion for NSW to take a strategic approach to the introduction of regulations for NSW of Laser and IPL use for cosmetic purposes. 

While these moves are never swift, we have diligently contributed to providing extensive and comprehensive reports in support of the need for regulations. 

At this stage NSW, Victoria and South Australia do not have any form of regulation for these services.  However, it appears that NSW is now introducing plans to move forward. We will keep you informed of developments.
