Strategies for effectively dealing with anxiety
5 November 2023
Unfortunately, a growing Bondi COVID-19 cluster has contributed to the expanding restriction in the Greater Sydney area. The announcement came today and will be in place for one week from 4 pm. The restrictions will be extended until 30th June and require that staff and clients attending your salon or clinic must wear masks.
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has stressed “We don’t take these steps lightly and we never want to impose restrictions unless we absolutely have to. We know the effect this will have on residents and venues, but we must take this action now to ensure we keep on top of this outbreak”. Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant and Health Minister Brad Hazzard have urged higher rates of community testing as well as the continued use of QR Codes.
Unlike Melbourne where masks must be worn by both the practitioner and the client consistently throughout the treatment, Sydney’s directive is more relaxed allowing the client to remove their mask while having their treatment. This means that skin treatments can go ahead. However, masks must be once again worn by the client at the end of the treatment before leaving the premises.
Clients attending salons and clinics are still required to check in using the NSW Services Covid Safe App and businesses are still required to follow the appropriate 1.5m social distancing rule wherever possible. If you require further information, you can access these via the NSW Government page of Covid rules and restrictions.
