A requirement of our Code of Ethics. is that members must have insurance for the procedures they perform. Part of this insurance will include legal services in the event of an incident. When obtaining an insurance cover with our providers you will not need an external lawyer as any legal advice is included as part of your cover. We recommend if you identify a client grievance (whether you believe you are at fault or not) that you contact us immediately to discuss the concern and identify the correct strategy that will best protect you. This often includes notifying your insurance company even if a claim may not occur. With the correct support to-date we have had excellent success with preventing insurance claims.
