ARAP Application Form

APAN has launched a new industry classification to better identify and define the professional group of practitioners who specialise in skin and age management treatments and education. These include: Degree qualified aesthetic therapists and dermal therapists, cosmetic nurses, skin therapists and educators who have moved beyond simple beauty therapy. This is a Registration separate to APAN membership, even though membership is also required.

THERE ARE FIVE LEVELS OF ARAP REGISTRATION

For this level you will need to provide evidence of the following:

  1. An appropriate government-approved qualification for procedures you perform. This could be a Diploma, Advanced Diploma or a Graduate Certificate e.g. in IPL or Laser therapies.

  2. APAN Membership

  3. Any other qualification that pertains to work you are currently doing

For this level you will need to provide evidence of the following:

  1. Evidence of any training you have complete that pertain to the procedures you are currently doing. These could non-government approved that reflect skills and knowledge you have attained for procedures you are currently doing.

  2. APAN Membership

  3. Any other qualification that pertains to work you are currently doing

For this level you will need to provide evidence of the following:

  1. An appropriate Degree qualification

  2. APAN Membership

  3. Any other qualification that pertains to work you are currently doing

Once you have uploaded your documents and completed your details then all your information including uploads will be sent to APAN for processing and you will be redirected to the checkout page.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS AFTER YOUR ARAP REGISTRATION

After you register you will be required to:

  • Adhere to the APAN CODE OF ETHICS and CODE OF PRACTICE documents

  • Adhere to the relevant Australian Regulations as set out by your State jurisdiction

  • Maintain currency of APAN Membership

  • Provide evidence of continued professional development (15 CPD Points)

  • Approved courses will be measured by 1 point per hour of study

  • Attend at least one APAN conference per year

After you register you will receive these extra APAN benefits:

  • Special Registration Certificate

  • Representation to Govenment for future regulations

  • Permission to use the qualifying acronym ARAP after your name

  • Permission to use the qualifying acronym ARAP on your advertising

  • Transparent ARAP logo for business window or door

  • Included on APAN Website as preferred practitioners

  • Other benefits from time-to-time
