Deb Farnworth-Wood has over 30 years of experience in business in CEO and director roles combining strong operational and strategic management experience gained in franchising, manufacturing, retail, health and not-for-profit sectors and within multi-channel, multi-disciplinary and multi-site organisations.

Deb has an incredible capacity to undertake and refine existing businesses and expand them to extraordinary new heights.  She also possesses the confidence, knowledge, and ability to pioneer new concepts in business development that can quickly become market leaders.

With extensive qualifications in management, franchising, and health services, as well as an MBA from Cardiff in the UK, Deb has demonstrated her skills in successfully managing organisational growth both organically or via acquisition and merger.

Having purchased the original Australian Skin Clinic in early 2007 she transformed its business model into one of Australia’s leading franchise clinics and achieved this during challenging economic times. By 2016 under her guardianship, the Australian Skin Clinics Franchised rose from one clinic to 60 with a turnover of $70 million prior to its sale in December 2019.  The ASC Franchise was listed in the BRW Fast Starter 2014 and 2015, as well as recognised on the BRW Fast 100 list in 2016. In 2016 Deb was a national finalist in the prestigious EY Awards and in 2017 Deb won the Gold Coast Woman in Business Award.

Acknowledged for her extensive business knowledge and expertise Deb continues to serve as a board member for several companies in the health and beauty sectors.  She is currently the owner and director of Issada Cosmetics and Clinical Formula Skincare which she launched in 2022, as well as the owner and director of Valor Organics and still owns the original Australian Skin Clinic in Ashmore which she rebranded.

We are delighted that Deb has accepted to join APAN’s NAC as part of the Business Innovation Division.
