The Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science (AACDS) is a Registered Training Organisation specialising in the field of cosmetic medicine and dermal therapies.

The college was established in 2004 and has developed a range of nationally accredited courses, which have also received recognition from the main societies/organisations in cosmetic medicine and beauty.This industry recognition is essential when considering employment opportunities for graduates.

AACDS courses differ to other training providers as we deliver our practical training with only two students per trainer/assessor. This provides students with a quality-learning environment whilst ensuing exclusivity to training equipment.

DVANCED DIPLOMA OF COSMETIC DERMAL SCIENCE 10510NAT
The Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science is a unique combination of dermal science, enrolled nursing and medical assisting units, which have been contextualised to the field of cosmetic medicine and dermal therapies. The curriculum covers the key competencies required to work as a qualified Dermal Therapist within a cosmetic medical practice. Scope of work includes performing dermal therapy procedures, assisting medical personnel with cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures, assisting with practice and patient management, and performing administration duties.

GRADUATE DIPLOMA OF DERMAL THERAPIES 52707WA
The Graduate Diploma of Dermal Therapies is developed for candidates from a beauty or health background wanting to achieve a formal and recognised qualification in dermal therapies. The objective of the qualification is to provide graduates with the knowledge and hands-on skills to perform safe and effective dermal therapies and meet the employment needs of a modern cosmetic medical clinic.

GRADUATE DIPLOMA OF COSMETIC NURSING 52709WA
The Graduate Diploma of Cosmetic Nursing is a postgraduate course developed specifically for Enrolled/Div 2 or Registered Nurses wishing to enter the field of cosmetic medicine. This government accredited qualification will provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to work in a cosmetic medical practice and/or accredited day hospital performing cosmetic nursing, dermal therapies and injectable procedures.

VOCATIONAL GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN IPL & LASER HAIR SIB70110
This course was developed for new or experienced IPL operators who wish to gain a government accredited qualification. The course covers the theoretical and clinical competencies required to safely and effectively perform IPL or laser permanent hair reduction. Completing this qualification exclusively through AACDS, will also provide you with an official IPL/Laser Safety Officer’s Certificate recognised by Queensland Radiation Health and the Radiological Council of Western Australia.

IPL / Laser Safety Officer’s Certificate (GDTLBT801A Analyse light-based therapies used in cosmetic medicine)
The IPL/Laser Safety Officer’s Certificate is a theory-based course, which focuses on the clinical aspects of IPL and Laser treatment and the required safety standards as outlined by the Radiation Safety Act 1999. The module is government accredited and recognised by the two main Laser authorities; QLD Radiation Health and the Radiological Council of WA as an official Radiation/Laser Safety Officer’s Certificate.

DIPLOMA OF MANAGEMENT BSB51107 (MEDISPA PRACTICE)
This course is designed to assist students and industry professionals in a number of areas such as:
• Clinics offering cosmetic medical and dermal therapy treatments who wish to strengthen their management capabilities and profitability
• Those seeking to introduce cosmetic medical / dermal therapy treatments into their business model and require a complement in management skills to effect profitable outcomes
• Anyone aspiring to effectively manage a medispa.
